1947 Cadillac 6109 Series 61 Sedan
| |Sold
I saved this old girl from Smarts Auto Wrecking in Wenatchee which closed in early 2016. The pictures are before I cleaned out the interior which had a very large collection of coyote shit that the local rats were kind enough to pack away inside the seats.
What the Caddy is missing:
- rear driveline ends (the axle shafts are still with the Caddy)
- driveshaft
- transmission
- radiator
- headlights
It does still have its original flathead V8. The Caddy has been sitting in Smarts yard for quite some time, guessing at least back to the 60s. According to Mr Smart his Pops marked the Caddy as not a parts car as it is near complete minus the list above.
For 1947 a few styling features were changed from the 1946 Cadillacs. The 1946s were basically 1942 Cadillacs carried over from before World War II. For 1947 5,160 47-61s were built.
